Without doubt my greatest inspiration was my sister Frances who was born with a congenital heart condition and was not expected to live beyond infancy.  My parents minded her like a bird, which i'm sure helped her to live longer than expected. Frances played accordion and piano and taught herself as she could play by ear. Music and rhythm was such a release for Frances that not a day went by that she wouldn’t pick up an instrument. As I was eleven years younger than her I was witness to her great will to live and positive outlook on life, with a massive acceptance of herself, her body and the peace she made with her life's journey. I read a poem written by a friend of mine at Frances funeral and among the words were 'here I am in my shackled cell but all is temporary and all is well' which summed up Frances. Growing up with Frances I was very aware that focusing on her abilities rather than her disabilities was of more benefit to her. Frances taught me to be accepting, to be comfortable around difference, to be compassionate, non judgemental, to be kind hearted and grateful.

The work that I do evolves around rhythm, beat “BUALADH” in Irish and from the heart 'CROÍ'. Hence my business name BUALADH CROÍ. Like pieces of a jigsaw coming together all  the services I offer are like tools in my tool box to help bring people back to their  AUTHENTIC WILD self and to support them in healing and in having Unconditional LOVE for  themselves.

With my background as a Community Circle Drummer and Sound Healing facilitator for the  past 15 years, I discovered EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) - Tapping. Our body  resonates like a drum when we Tap on the meridian points, the steady tapping rhythms  that Gary Craig taught us are the same rhythmic cadence as the shamanic trance rhythms  of 180 to 200 beats per minute (bpm).

I began my studies and practice in various sound healing modalities, in acupressure and energy psychology related techniques; including shamanic drumming. It felt only natural for me to  combine EFT with the resonant sounds of drum rhythms; my body and your body is the  drum, the vessel, the instrument. We tap on our bodies to shift energy, to heal, to address, to restore, to re-frame our stories, to reclaim, to raise our vibration, to transform  and to be FREE. Adapting; being creative and innovative with these modalities, or tools in my tool box I  gently support and help bring about healing with my clients.  It is based on an energetic approach to the mind, body and soul entity that we call a  human being. Each human entity is a constantly changing quantum universe in itself and responds to its  own set of universal laws, just as the infinite cycle of the seasons is constantly changing and  adapting to the environment. This is why many energetic approaches to healing such as Energy PSYCHOLOGY EFT are  more and more in demand in today’s world.  The hidden destructive patterns that resist classic approaches surrender to the powerful  primordial sounds and rhythms of shamanic drumming and tapping.

Our negative emotional patterns or physical pains are just stagnated energy that needs to be released and liberated to make right that which once went wrong. We don't need to find out who or what was responsible, just feel and locate the stuck or shielded energy pattern, evaluate the intensity in the present moment, focus our intention on the energy to be transmuted and tap and /or drum on it. Then we may release these patterns giving rapid access to higher states of energy and consciousness with the rhythm and resonance of the drum that allow the energies to flow freely in the entire system.

I am excited at the prospect of meeting and working with YOU and helping you to heal and  to dance to the beat of your own drum

It is the spirit and magic of rhythm expressed on drums and percussion instruments which  cuts through all ages, sexes, religions, races and cultures that inspires and excites me to facilitate  workshops and bring rhythm into as many people’s lives as possible. Especially in this day and age as we walk our path's we have forgotten to dance to the beat of our own drum. "Rhythm," as  Gabriel Roth says, "is the mother tongue." Rhythm is a universal language known to every - one, even the youngest child, if we can just "remember." So in a very objective, yet beautiful  way, an interactive rhythm event puts us all on an equal footing with each other and brings  us closer to ourselves and each other resulting in that sense of belonging that we all long for.
